Information on the German Battery Ordinance (Batterieverordnung)

As a producer and in connection with the sale of batteries or rechargeable batteries with our instruments together, we are bound by the German Battery Ordinance to inform our customers of the following:

Please make sure to dispose of old batteries as prescribed by law (disposal together with household garbage is in violation of the Battery Ordinance) at a municipal collection center or at a local shop. The disposal is free of charge. You can, of course, return used batteries that you have received from us to the address below free of charge or via post with postage paid.

Batteries that contain toxic substances are marked with the symbol of a garbage can that has been crossed through. The chemical name of the toxic substance can be found under the garbage can symbol, for example 'Cd' for cadmium. 'Pb' stands for lead; 'Hg' for mercury.

In addition, you can also find this information again in the documents accompanying the consignment or in the instruction manual from the manufacturer.

German Electrical and Electronic Equipment Act (ElektroG)

Our assortment of goods includes electrical equipment that falls under the German Electrical and Electronic Equipment Act (ElektroG). The symbol for the separate collection of electrical and electronic equipment is a garbage can on wheels that is crossed through. The disposal of these electrical equipment together with household waste is prohibited by ElektroG (Act Governing the Sale, Return and Environmentally Sound Disposal of Electrical and Electronic Equipment)! You are obligated as a consumer to dispose thereof at the local collection and return system of the municipality.
